Papers, 1841-1887.

This collection consists of correspondence of family members. Included are letters by P.R. Toll to his daughter, Grace (Toll) Hill and letters from W. W. Hill to his wife Grace (Toll) Hill. Of particular interest are the financial records, 1861-1862, of the Albany Military Drill Company. These records include the minute book of the company and receipts for company expenditures. The collection also contains a number of photographs of locations around New York State including Keuka Lake, the Indian Ladder Road in th Helderbergs, and Old Fort Crailo. The collection also contains a clipping of an article about the opening of the "Adirondack Lodge" at the foot of Mount Marcy, from the Albany Sunday Press, dated 1882 August 6.
